In this workshop, you will be introduced to watercolour, ink, and coloured pencil techniques. You will learn from examples of well-known picture book illustrators, and from demonstrations.
The class project will be to design and illustrate an alphabet booklet with 3 letters depicting a child, an animal and an object. You will be guided through the steps of creating a storyboard, making rough sketches and final art.
Recommended materials:
A sketchbook
A small set of watercolour paint
Coloured pencils
Waterproof fine liners
Pencils, rubbers and a pencil sharpener
