We discover practical approaches for developing initial visual ideas and interests into a finished painting. Experimentation, curiosity and analysis can quickly develop the humblest of starting points for image making into something rich and surprising.

Required materials

Sketchbooks, newsprint / cartridge  paper, card or cheap canvas boards. We plan to initially make quick work so nothing large or expensive as a surface.

Any art materials students are happy using. Paints, pencils, charcoal, pastels, inks. Masking tape, Pritt Stick type glue and coloured papers and scissors for collage.
