Health and Wellbeing awards 2023 Finalist, Lisa firmly believes that art is not just a luxury for the few but has the universal power to maintain positive mental health for all. When times have been difficult for Lisa, facing life-threatening health issues, divorce, bereavement, and much more, art and literature are what she has turned to for a sense of calm and resolve.  

Lisa is a fine art graduate from Goldsmiths. She is also a practising artist, journalist, and poet, a founding member of South London Arts Lab, a co-founder of MÜ Magazine, and was a consultant art advisor for Coutts Bank from 2019-2023.   

Having lived in London and New York for most of her adult life, Lisa now lives in Cobham, Surrey. Lisa has three children, two of whom are also artists.

Ravenous Butterflies is a popular and unique art and literature blog that began as a Facebook page in 2013 and has since generated a devoted global fanbase of over 1.25 million. It offers a transformative source of well-being to millions. The first book by Ravenous Butterflies, An Apothecary of Art:To soothe your soul, was published by Batsford in September 2023 and was short-listed for the Health and Wellbeing Awards, 2023.
