Gillian Brett

Sculpture

Gillian Brett is a London based sculptor inspired by human life. A graduate from Brighton Art School and The Art Academy London, Gillian has exhibited widely in the UK, most notably shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2017, selected for ING Discerning Eye 2022, sculpture prize winner at Wales Contemporary 2023 and Women In Art Fair 2024 at the Mall Galleries, London. 

Working intuitively, from life, Gillian’s lively, expressive sculptures are predominantly ceramic, porcelain or cast in bronze or resin, but a fascination with experimentation has also led her to create sculptures with fabric, paper and recycled domestic materials. Gillian works on private and public commissions from her Chiswick studio. A member of W4 Art and Design and opens her studio in Chiswick for one weekend every June as part of Artists at Home.
