What makes Chiswick Art School different?

Small groups with personal tutor support: At Chiswick Art School each course is run by the tutor, laying the groundwork for a committed artistic relationship. Several courses have their own WhatsApp group.

Group sizes and tutor/student ratios are strictly limited to ensure maximum support for each student.   The maximum group size varies depending on the medium. For example: for pottery it is eight, while for painting or drawing from a model it is nine. Certain groups such as pottery throwing intensives are limited to six.

All our classes are taught by professional artists who are also experienced teachers, not academics. When you attend a class it is an opportunity to work with someone who is deeply involved in their practice and will give you practical projects and skills, not essays and background “theory”.

Chiswick Art School receives no government or local authority support nor grants of any kind. This means our resources are focussed on delivering excellent tuition rather than completing paperwork.

We are committed to providing classes at a competitive rate. Where students are prepared to commit for longer, course fees become even more cost effective.

We have classes every day in space exclusively occupied by the school. That means whatever your routine there is always something to get involved in!
