We value teaching quality and student commitment

This is why a typical review says “it’s like going back to Foundation: you actually learn something”.

All our classes are taught by professional artists who are also experienced teachers, not academics.

When you attend a class it is an opportunity to work with someone who is deeply involved in their practice and will share their skills with you through weekly projects.

At Chiswick Art School each course is run by the tutor, laying the groundwork for a committed artistic relationship. Each course has its own WhatsApp group.

Limited class sizes

We keep class sizes small to ensure the best support for each student.

The maximum group size depends on the medium. For example: for pottery it is 8, while for painting or drawing from a model it is 9.

intensive groups such as pottery throwing groups are limited to 6, and the Pottery Tasters welcome a maximum of 4 students for each event.

Our Beginners’ Art Clubs and Drawing classes are strictly limited to 12 students, the ideal balance for a vibrant group that is also a real learning experience.

Our courses are focussed, allowing you to progress in the way that suits you. Some of our students stay with their groups for many terms, some start with an introduction course or our Beginners’ Art Club to discover their ideal pursuit.

Exclusive space

We have classes every day in pleasant and inspiring classrooms exclusively occupied by the school. That means whatever your routine there is always something to get involved in.

Efficient and professional

Chiswick Art School receives no government or local authority support nor grants of any kind. This means our resources are focussed on delivering excellent tuition rather than completing paperwork, and our administration is responsive to you at all times.
